Hi, I’m Rachael.
I’m a UX Researcher harmonizing the art of design with the science of human behavior.
And sometimes geeking out about tech podcasts.
Research I conduct:
Generative
Strategic research with the goal of inspiring new ideas, discovering opportunities, and informing strategy.
Asks: “What should we do?”
Formative
Exploratory research seeking to understand user goals and tasks, optimize the design, and reduce execution risk.
Asks: “How should we do it?”
Summative
Evaluative research aimed to assess, measure or compare against self or competition and feed back into strategy.
Asks: “How did we do?”
My process:
Empathize ⤏
Seek to understand user motivations and needs
Discover ⤏
Illuminate the unknown and define requirements
Explore ⤏
Understand the problem space and design scope
Test ⤏
Validate ideas during design phase and beyond
Listen ⤏
Observe to uncover new opportunities

Testimonials:
“Rachael fully embodies the A&F leadership standards, particularly in the ways she shows up, aims high, and stays curious. As a manager, it is a wonderful feeling to have full confidence in the work your team member is doing and the way she is presenting herself (and the team) in wider conversations. Rachael's commitment is beyond question and she really strives to put forth her best effort in every project. I feel very fortunate to be able to work with such a wonderful, smart, kind, and driven person.”
- UX Manager at Abercrombie & Fitch (direct manager)
Rachael is an absolute rock star! I genuinely have no idea how she does so much as one person. I'm always shocked when I hear from other Product folks how much value she is providing to them, because I truly don't understand how she gets everything done and with the high level of quality she delivers.
- Senior Product Manager at WM Technology
Rachael is an exceptional researcher. She is extremely organized with her projects and timelines. She handled being swamped with requests for research with focus and drive. Rachael is skillful at teasing out unbiased feedback during interviews and is excellent at composing non-leading questions, capturing exact moments where users are confused or blocked.
- Senior UX Researcher at WM Technology
“Her ability to quickly learn, grow, and adapt -- to new methods, questions, and teams -- has made her an invaluable asset to the User Experience team. She thoroughly and effectively manages all the UX research projects in a way that instills complete confidence in her approach and results.”
- UX Manager at Abercrombie & Fitch
“She takes initiative, asks great questions, is reliable, and overall just a joy to work with!”
- Colleague at Abercrombie & Fitch
“Rachael is a high performer and incredible asset to the team and company. In particular, Rachael managed to drive results and serve the teams during a time of having the 2nd researcher on maternity leave and the 3rd researcher left for another opportunity. Rachael did not skip a beat, and took on the work of 3 people.”
- Director of Design at WM Technology (direct manager)
Rachael is just an excellent researcher. She has this uncanny ability of getting the exact information we need from clients or internal stakeholders, without leading them with her own/or the team's biases. She is insanely thorough, but not to the point of creating too much noise - it's like the perfect balance of tons of information but the RIGHT information. Lastly, she is just genuinely helpful and a great teammate and person to work with!
- Senior UX Designer at WM Technology
“Rachael has a sharp mind for research, an innate understanding of users, and the ability to deliver high-quality results. I have been beyond impressed with her ability to evolve, continually seeking to learn and implement UX research best practices and methods, while also focusing on how best to deliver results to internal customers (both in UX and throughout the company).”
- UX Manager at Abercrombie & Fitch
”Rachael brings a fresh attitude to everything she does. Her cross-functional partners resoundingly say they enjoy working with her and appreciate her positive attitude and partnership.”
- Marketing Manager (direct manager) at Abercrombie & Fitch
The only way to improve on Rachael's performance over the past year would be to clone her. Every team should be so lucky to get to get to work with someone like Rachael at the helm.
